Pedagogical Contents in MinSCAT Laboratory High School Calapan City Campus

 

Teaching Methods

Based on my observations the contents of pedagogy at Minscat  Laboratory High School Calapan City Campus.

The teacher use explanation in teaching but before the teacher teach the material, the teacher will ask for unfamiliar words from the students, around 3-4 words in every meeting. After that the teacher will give an example of a sentences or things that related to the material before he said what material they will learn. The teacher will ask the students what they realize from the example and students begin to give their opinion about the example. The goal is to ask students and give students some activities as their teaching method, here teachers should be able to complete their teaching process in one hour. They should be able to manage time well, so that students can obtain information, conduct activities and get an evaluation in one hour only.

The teacher usually use media through power point or video and audio to teach and also playing games in the class to make them interested to learn.

At the time of learning when there are students who are noisy or busy themselves. The teacher will ask them to quite or just stand watching them intensely until they realize it and start to quite. Every teachers have their own way to manage the class situation.

Learning Materials and Technology

Students are using the package book and some students do not use the package book. They only receive information from teachers when they are in class. The teacher will use the media and other books, it depends on the teacher and the students needed. 

Learning and Technology Resources

Teachers use K12 modules that they get from government. In addition, to add teaching materials, teachers also search the internet and other relevant books that they get from the library.

Authentic Assessment

Teachers will give students quizzes that contain some of the questions they need to do as their evaluation. Usually they will work paper one and a half or a quarter. 

To end the class the teacher will ask what they already learned.
